I took childcare leave yesterday and decided that i wanted to bring Chang En to enjoy herself! We went to Polliwogs @ East Coast. There were less than 10 kiddos there and we almost had the entire ball pit to ourselves! We paid $16 for Chang En and $8 for Chang Xuan. Adults can enjoy free coffee and tea!

We spent abt 1.5 hours at the play area. We all took turns to climb up with Chang En!! Even my mum who is coming to 60 climbed too!!

Chang Xuan was also very happy!! Bfed her at the cafe and she dozed off to lala land!!

In the end, i signed up for a 6 months package with them. 8 visits with unlimited playtime!

After the play, we went to Burger King to buy back a set meal. Chang En happily ate the fries on the cab cos she was so hungry! She kept asking for "MORE!!"

Mummy rushed down to IMM to collect the cupcakes from Crystal Jade. Bought a mickey n car helium balloon which attracted much attention from the children. En En was so scared when the birthday song was sang that she started crying after the candles were blown.

Chang En celebrated her bdae at my in laws place. The cake was EXPENSIVE!! $180 (inclusive of delivery plus figurines for a 1.5kg chocolate cake. It was from a home baker somemore!!) But the kids enjoyed the celebration. We dressed Chang En up with japanese kimono which i bought from j-shopper.Super kawaii!!

En's on Food strike..plus long overdue posts

Phew...It has been a long time since my last update. Have been busy with En En cos she has been on food strike for the past 2 weeks. She is eating very little and surving on my breastmilk. Luckily its breastmilk...if not i would have gone broke. Nowadays, when i latch Xuan..she will come over and wanna latch too..She will just "leak" and run away saying "No No..".

Nowadays, En En is starting to be jealous of her sister. She will not sleep unless i hug her, leaving Xuan in the cot/rocker. If not, she will throw tantrums or ask me to repeat certain tasks like wearing socks etc... En En will also cry out loud (imitating the sister...but 10x louder than Xuan) if she does not get what she wants...Grrr..

In view of her cough, i have also bought lotsa "Dong Cong Cao" and other herbs to boil for her. They cost me a bomb!! Think i spent at least $500 on the herbs this month liaoz..But can last a yr?

Xuan Xuan is also starting to accept bottles. Today, she actually finished 120ml...WOW!!!

Will try to update the blog more frequently...Still thinking of where to go for hols for dec..

****Gathering at Shers place.***
I brought both Xuan and En En to the May 2009's mummies gathering at Kovan. I bjorned Xuan while my helper pushed En in a stroller. Xuan was so cute..she actually fell asleep while taking photos. En En enjoyed herself in the toddler's room where she went into the playhouse plus played on the slides..

My new clothes!! I went to the warehouse sales and bought lotsa clothes for my princesses at a steal. Its only $3 each for Carters n Osh Kosh clothes. Even passerbys commented that En En looked trendy in some of the clothes that i bought.

************* Chang En's Performance******************

Last friday, i went to En's childcare to watch her mini performance. She was initially quite appalled by the large audience crowd...(Think there were at least 50-60 parents?) Slowly, she warmed up and started dancing to the music..until she spotted me. When that happened, she cried and dashed towards me. After the mini concert which was 1 min performance for En, we went back to her classroom where the teachers showed us their work. They briefed us on what the kiddos have been doing in school. Thumbs up. I think they learnt a lot. However, En En did not cooperate with me...She kept crying asking me to leave...She even brought me to her bags and asked me to take them along...Grr. In the end, i just sneaked out of the classroom leaving her to the care of her teachers.

Trust me, even a 1 min performance looked like eternity to me!! I replayed the video umpteen times to my hubby, parents, In Laws and sister. I can watch it repeatedly and not get tired of it...Cheers to the teachers.

I just bought another similar FP rocker from another mummy at $40. It was a steal!! Had to buy cos both my kiddos love the rocker. Xuan can even sleep in the rocker for the whole nite...And she loves the vibration. En En can even switch on the vibration for her sister.

An outing to Vivo with Chloe, Aunty Shirlyn and mummy. Although Chloe is 9 mths younger, they look pretty much the same size. En En was quite well behaved throughout the trip. I learnt how to use the stroller when travelling down the escalator. Thanks to Shirlyn.

Life after confinement

Life has been different after my confinement lady left. We have drawn up a new routine to accomodate the 2 kiddos. Especially in the evening when Chang En is back from her childcare. We feel that we have neglected Chang En recently. Hence, we have decided to restart the flashcard programme and playground activities for her.

Night time has been a nitemare so far with 2 kiddos vying for my attention. Now, i have no choice but to ask my helper to coax En En to sleep..So guilty..

SMH May 2009 Gathering

We had a May 2009's baby gathering at one of the mummies' place. It was an enjoyable time cos its the first time that Chang Xuan ventured out to a public place. First time taking a cab too. We shared cab with Mummy Xue and her older son who happens to be 1 month older than Chang En only.

This rocker has now been dominated by Chang Xuan in the day time cos she insists sleeping on the rocker with the vibration ON!!. Hence, Chang En only gets to use it when Mei Mei is not sitting on it. Chang En is very clever! She will bring her milk bottle to the bouncer, switch on the vibration and bring down the toy bar before she drinks her milk =P

ROM Celebration
We decided to celebrate our ROM on the day that I ended my confinement since the CL will still be around. Although its one day earlier, we still enjoyed ourselves as its our "ME" time without the 2 kiddos. Time flies!! We already have 2 kids liaoz. We had our lunch at Kushinbo Great World City cos i MISS my sashimi =P We had a super enjoyable lunch before heading home.

Haiz...Even when Chang En is on 100% ebm on weekends and 75% of weekdays and baby on 100% bm every day..I still have problem storing!! Should i get a chest freezer? I have solved part of my problem by donating the frozen ones to my cousin who gave birth to a pair of twins in april..But..can the problem be solved totally...my hubby's answer is "NO!!"

Chang Xuan celebrated her baby shower on 21st May when she was 3 weeks 1 day old. Rationale, if we postpone it by a week, it will exceed the lunar calendar month. So no choice. There were many babies who came that day n we seemed to be operating a mini infant care. Food was catered from Yan Palace and many pple sang praises of it. Especially the mango pomelo dessert!! It was simply too YUMMY!

Chang En had her fringes trimmed on saturday cos it was simply getting too long. My confinement lady managed to trim it for her while she was watching her fav cartoons. Someone asked me:" You dun allow ur daughter to have long hair arh?" My reply: I only trimmed her hair thrice ever since she was born....

Chang En has returned to childcare after MIAing for a week or so. Thank goodness that she is re-adapting well. In fact, her appetite has also grown and she seemed to look much prettier with her "longan" eyes!!

Chang En dotes on her younger sister VERY VERY much. The first thing that she will do in the morning will be to look for her sister and KISS her!! She is pretty gentle on the baby when she strokes Chang Xuan's hair.

Chang Xuan has been a pretty good baby so far. Her fuss time is basically from 8-11pm. She does not like air-conditioner very much and we are trying hard to make her adapt. Our room temp is now set to 28!! Grr...Last nite, she slept through from 12+ midnight till 6+am this morning without crying for milk!! An acomplishment for a 2.5 weeks old baby. Hope that it will stay like tat.

Mummy is still battling with blocked ducts. I am still contemplating if i should visit the lactation consultation cos i am unsure abt my condition.

Week 2 of Confinement.

This has been an eventful week for me!

Brought En En back for review at the PD on Monday. The PD's medicine seems to work very well on her. (Or is it my breastmilk?). She recovered from her runny nose in 2 days. Her phelmy cough has also improved. Downside: I spent $300 on her medical fees to see the PD twice. But think it is worthed it cos she recovered so much faster.

As a result of En En's condition, she stayed at home until Wed, went to childcare on Thursday and she is stuck at home today cos she developed very bad rashes on her legs and body after we applied some lotion during the massage session.

Baby Xuan's schedule has not been very fixed. On tuesday, she had blocked nose and she cried intermittently from 1030pm until 2.3oam. On Wed, she cried intermittently from 5.30am to 7am. Yesyterday, she slept from 1030pm till 3+am before she woke up for her feeds. She was pretty alright yesterday. Keeping my fingers crossed that she will give me a better time at nite.

Yesterday, i sneaked out to the IT fair with hubby to get a new photo printer(our 3YO printer gave way..) and a new camera. The printer was very good and we printed several nice pictures to be hung on the wall in the living room. The new camera came with HD quality video taking which will allow us to take more videos of our 2 kiddos. I also had my first lunch out of hse (ever since we returned from the hospital) at a Japanese Restaurant at the centre stage of Marina Square. After the IT fair, we ajourned to Starbucks for a cup of hot chocolate and chocolate cookie. Yummy.

As to my confinement, it has been quite alright this time lround. Less restrictive cos the aunty allows me to bathe once every 2 days, wash my hair once every 4 days. And i get to wear shorts in the afternoon. =P. I have also cut down on fish soup cos my supply is over-abundance to the extend that baby is on 100% BM En En is on 100% EBM and i still get to freeze 2-3 packs of 150ml ebm a day. Think i have at least 1.5litre of bm supply everyday.

Yesterday was a super long tiring day for me. Needed to go back for gynae review and PD checkup. Woke up @ 7.30am, latched baby and pumped out my milk. Then had to prepare En En for the trip. Upon reaching my gynae's clinic, baby decided to cry for milk. Ended up, i had to feed her in the ctg room cos En En decided to use my "makeshift" nursing shawl to play "peek a boo". Baby fed for at least 20 min..and thank god, it lasted her til we reached home at 12 plus.

After the gynae's visit, we went for baby's review and checkup for En En. En En has been coughing for the past 2 months and PD diagnosed that she is down with mild bronchitis. Ended up, the main bulk of the time spent with PD was for En En. Had to ask the nurse to demonstrate the use of the nebuliser also. And En En cried like mad.

Baby Xuan is currently 3.46kg at 6 days old. She gained ard 400g over the past few days. She went for the jaundice test again. Level: 12.2. PD cleared her and said that she just needed to sunbathe. Gave baby ebm for her last nite feed also so that all of us could sleep longer. She took 80ml of ebm and slept from 11.30pm to 3.30am. So happy!! Then latched her on at 3.30am and 6am respectively to clear my breast since they were bursting. (My last pump was at 11pm)

Today, En En is more receptive to the nebuliser. She cried less already. She also went for the Shichida class with daddy. Daddy praised her saying that she is running ard less in class. She is also able to address baby by her name "Xuan Xuan". Bravo!!

Day 1 home..

Chang Xuan has been home for 3 days already. She still has a little bit of jaundice but should go off soon when the sun is out. She has been on95% latch on so far. 5% ebm feed when my confinement lady decides to feed her some in my absence. So far, Chang Xuan is latching on pretty well and i have tried on a new position: Sleeping position to latch her on. Her "rooting" is pretty strong now and can look for my Bs when she is hungry already. I dun really need to guide her for the time being. I guess it must be that she has been on 95% latch on so far.

Chang En is adapting well so far. We try to spend as much time with her when she returns from the childcare. We will watch tv with her and hug her. Last nite, she dozed off on me when she was watching tv programme. Same position as to how i will carry Chang Xuan when i burp her. This morning, i fed her with the excess ebm that i have. She finished the ebm (mainly colostrum) mixed with her normal FM easily. Hope that her tummy can take it cos she has not been taking ebm for a long time. Time to save $$ liaoz cos she should be able to take ebm for 30% of her milk intake daily. Formula milk is expensive leh!!

Day 2: Chang Xuan

Chang Xuan was on milk strike on the first day of birth...She latched on only at 0930, 1630 and 0300 for the whole day.

Hence, for morning, she wanted to latch on more frequently. She had had 2 feeds so far..once at 0830 and another round at 1125.

In the afternoon, her feedings became more regular and on time. Every 3-4 hourly, she will be pushed back for a feed. Her feeding pattern is quite standard. Latch for 5-10 min, doze off, mummy will burp her or wake her up, latch for another 5-10 min. Cycle will repeat until she manage to latch for 20-30 min, and dun cry when put down.

I also saw the same nurse manager who was looking after me when i had En En. She is a very nice lady and she chatted with me. She commented that i had very good milk supply and i should avoid over-latching baby in case if she takes my breast as a pacifier.

Mummy has FINALLY delivered mei mei!! Water bag burst!

From now..mummy will use I for herself, En En for Chang En and Xuan Xuan for Chang Xuan when she updates the blog..

Mummy's birth story
8.30pm: Came back from Zhou's kitchen buffet dinner (evil me hoh..)

9.45pm: Took a bath after i finished the show on starhub channel 55 ( Yuan lai Ai Shang Zei)

10pm: Tried to settle my #1 to bed and felt trickles of water. Thought that i had urinary incontinence initially but cant be that i kept leaking.

10.30pm: Checked with some mummies(Thanks to blueskye, gingerleaf and Daphne) and they said that water bag has burst!

11pm: Called my mum to come to my place and finally settled #1 to bed.

11.30pm: Left for hospital 12.30am: Midwives confirmed water bag burst, administer enema and shaved me. 2 cm dilated

1am: Transferred to delivery suite Rm 5. Contractions started at 2am.

5am: Requested for laughing gas but never really use it. 7am: Requested for pethidine jab. 5 cm dilated.

7.30am: Gynae came and wanted to break my water bag. Then i told her that water bag already burst long ago..Thats why i am in the ward. Chit Chat with gynae for a while.

830am: Midwives came and i am 8-9cm dilated. Asked me to press the button when i have the urge to push. 2min later after they left, i felt the urge to push. Asked my hubby to press the bell and he blur blur dunno what to do. I had to tell him 3 times before i succeeded. Waited for gynae to arrive although i already have the urge to push. Gynae came and in 1 push, baby was out at 0846. There wasn't even time for episomy! Had natural tears instead and was given 4-5 stitches.

9.30am: Latched baby and was sent back to room 505. Had breakfast while smsing pple.

A nice relaxing Sunday

Mummy brought me to Vivocity for lunch yesterday in an attempt to encourage mei mei to come out..But failed..When we reached Sushi teh, there was a long queue and daddy asked mummy to bring me to walk ard the area first while he queued up. Mummy brought me to mothercare but i was totally uninterested in the kiddy toys there...

When we entered Sushi teh, it was such a coincidence that we were given a seat beside Auntie Irene, Jerald kor Kor and his daddy. We chatted for a while. Jerald Kor Kor is such a big boy now who can eat sushi rice. He can also communicate better than me. Nevertheless, mummy tried to feed me some food from what they have ordered. I tried the pasta and the sushi rice. Yummy...However, i hated the corn croquette which daddy claimed was very nice. After Jerald and his family left, the next family that came in happened to be Daddy's students...Hmm..Are we fated to sit with pple whom we know?

After lunch, daddy and mummy brought me to TOYRUS! My heaven!! I was running around the shop carrying boxes of toys from one corner to another. At the soft toy corner, i had a fall but was alright...just a slight bump on my forehead. After the visit to TOYRUS, we had an ice-cream feast..YUMMY.....

In the evening, we went to Nai Nai's house again. This should be my last visit there until at least a month later as mummy will be due for her confinement at home this week. I was waiting so impatiently for Belinda Jie Jie to come and play with me. However, they came pretty late and i have decided that i should start my dinner first. Nai Nai decided to boil some "Dong Cong Cao with dunno what herbs" for the 3 of us to drink so that we will have better immunity. Ended up, i was the only one drinking as Beatrice mei mei refused to drink because of the smell...Oh well..I get to drink all..Hahaha...

Mummy was so tempted by the CROCS warehouse sales that she "pestered" daddy to go there. Daddy was soft hearted and he decided to drive mummy to EXPO after dinner. They left me at Nai Nai's house so that they can shop easily. They helped Aunty Daphne and another mummy to buy shoes.

Damage for ourselves: 7 pairs of crocs for me, 1 pair of mei mei, 1 pair for my helper and 1 pair for mummy...

1 spare pair of thomas and friends...in case if mummy's friend wants it...

These are mainly mine..hahaha

My language ability has improved significantly for the past 1 week. I can say 1 to 10..I can say new words like " Ai yo yo!!", clock. I can read in sequence : apple, ball, cat, dog, elephant, fish/flower, giraffe, hat, ice-cream, jacket, kite, lion. I also know that the word after octopus is "PIG!!".

My new form teacher at the childcare commented that i am very smart. I know how to protect myself by screaming for help when someone bullies me. I also know how to follow simple instructions like bringing out my sleeping bag. As a result, they grouped me with the older kids so that i can learn better.

Daddy was having lunch at West Coast when his friends decided to bring him to this shop that sells lotsa toys. Daddy spotted this kitchen set that cost only $9.90 and decided to buy it for me. I enjoyed playing with it. Think i spent at least 20 min on it....My fav component is the eggs. I will scoop the egg from one cup to another. I also khow to pour" water out of the teapot into the cup.

The mattel sales was so disappointing according to mummy. The amount of goods that they had was like 10% of previous years. Luckily mummy has stocked up many many Fisherprice toys for me and mei mei previously. Nevertheless, she decided not to go back empty handed. She bought one toy each for me and mei mei.

Mummy just went to Paragon with my helper to shop. She gave the excuse that she needed to walk more so that Mei Mei will come out earlier. Anyway, she spent a bomb on me..Bought many of my favourite toys....And she heard that there will be a Mattel warehouse sales again tomolo...She has gone there twice already...Still want to go. Think she wanna buy more toys for mei mei.

Accidents after Accidents

Haiz...accidents after accidents.

Yesterday, teacher Aira informed mummy that a classmate scratched my face while we were washing hands. I wanted to squeeze onto the ikea stool together with her and she ended scratching my beautiful face....Sob Sob...Teacher Aira was so paiseh cos it is the 2nd accident within 2 days. She told mummy that she has applied cold compress and cream on my face.

Teacher Aira also mentioned that i dun really need my pacifier during the afternoon nap. In fact, i usually take a 3 hour nap is sch! That explains why i dun fall asleep easily at nite..

For the past few days since Thursday, mummy has not been cooking porridge for me. Instead, she had started me on steamed rice, steamed fish, steamed vegetables, tofu, steamed eggs and mee suah etc. So far, i am adapting quite well. Hopefully, i am slowly adjusting to a more ricey diet.

Next, my terrible 2 is getting bad. On saturday and sunday, i broke into tears when mummy tried to scold me!!! She was so fierce......After the cry..i dozed off to my dreamlands....n i was still "crying" in my sleep....sob sob...

Mummy went to chiong Isetan Private sales today with Po Po and my helper. And she bought a lot of stuff for me....She was so lost when purchasing the thomas and friends set that she had to approach the staff to explain which set could be extended and which trains could be used on the different sets as there was simply too many tracks and trains to choose from.

1) Thomas and Friends Basic Set (comes with tracks and Thomas the train)

2) An extension set (Comes with additional tracks plus a truck)

3) Rocky

And after discount...phew..The thomas and friends set cost mummy $60!! w/o discount..Mummy would need to spend $110!! Mummy has decided to open up the basic set only and keep the other 2 sets as "Welcome Home Gifts!" to be given to me by my younger sister who can be due anytime soon...

Look at how i am beaming with joy when i saw the train set!! Mummy commented that other buyers must have thought that she has a son at home!!! Why would gals play with thomas n friends?? P.S: I have been playing with legos too at home...

Mummy also bought a new bib for me so that i can self feed in a cleaner manner. Can you spot the purple bib within the loots??

Last item which mummy bought for my use was a steamer. I have gotten used to eating steamed rice (not those rice that is cooked using rice cooker cos they are harder.) This steamer can be used to steam my rice, vege, eggs and fish all at one go! Easy and convenient!

In the evening, mummy decided to show off to daddy that i can brush my teeth. Mummy commented that i must have seen the Kor Kors and Jies Jies in my school brush their teeth! Thats why, i am attempting to do it at home...And do you know..I enjoy the first teeth toothpaste as well. Guess it will now be a routine for me every evening to brush my teeth!!

Phew...The internet access is finally back and mummy can update the blog for me...

On saturday, mummy decided to dig out the minnie mouse headband which she bought for me at Hong Kong Disneyland last December. Do i look cute with it? It does look a little big for me at the moment but who cares??

Later on the evening, we went to Uncle Bruce's house where we celebrated Lurvic's Baby Shower. I was very happy at Uncle Bruce's house cos mummy fed me with pineapple rice and chocolate cake! However, due to my high metabolic rate (I was running after Belinda Jie Jie for the ball), I cried so hard when i saw my milk at 8pm!! Hence, when we boarded the car, i started to drink my milk happily!!

When i reached home, my helper told mummy that i enjoyed playing with Lego bricks and trains in school. Mummy recalled that Uncle Kenneth actually bought me 1 set of Lego bricks on my 1st birthday...Hence, she took it out...n.......Look!!! I actually played on the lego set for almost 30 min..refusing to sleep...Mummy said i am starting to look more like a boy...playing with all the boyish games..

Yesterday, Mummy brought me to visit Baby Corine, Auntie Irene and Uncle Eric! I was simply too amazed by the 2 dogs in their house that i kept waving "Hi Hi" at them. I wanted to pat them but mummy disallowed me..cos Uncle Eric said that they might bite....

This morning..i was very grouchy as mummy dragged me out of the bed and told me it was time to go to sch....I cried real hard when they tried to put me on the potty. Later, when Po Po came, as usual...she decided to carry me later..Initially, she tot tat i would not cry..but who knows...i cried again cos i tot that Po Po did not want me already..

When we reached the childcare, we saw Zhang Lao Shi. My first instinct was to rush over to Zhang Lao Shi. I even skipped the temperature check!! To Po Po's surprise..I even waved goodbye to them...What a good baby i am..

This morning, i woke mummy up at 0450 and 0740 respectively cos i was too hungry and needed to drink milk!! Surprisingly, my appetite seemed to have increased significantly ever since i went to childcare. Last nite, for dinner, i ate half a thermos flask of rice plus half a flask of porridge. That is definitely more that then what i had taken previously. For milk, i am drinking as much too.

Anyway, after breakfast, mummy changed me into my uniform to wait for Po Po to send me to school. While waiting, i decided to play with my doodle pro. Look at how much i enjoy the toy.

I also learnt a new skill!! I know how to use the eraser on the doodle pro already!! See the green eraser that it is in the middle??
When Po Po arrived, she decided that she needed to wash her hands first before carrying me (Stupid Swine Flu..). For that reason, she refused to carry me when she stepped into the house. This made me cry very very hard and mummy had to carry me!!

Finally, it was time for me to go to school. I did not even wave bye bye to mummy cos i simply cant wait to go to school......

My new diet- Mee Suah

Daddy had to stay back late in office today. Hence, he called mummy at ard 1720 to ask her to come to the childcare to pick me up. Mummy and my helper took a cab down to the childcare and fed me with baby bites on the way home. I managed to finish 1.5 pieces of the baby bites on my way home...However, the cab fare was a horrifying $20.25 (inclusive of peak hour surcharge!!)

When i reached home, mummy took out the pre-prepared mee-suah for me to eat. I love the mee-suah and finished almost 1 bowl of the mee-suah. I love the carrots that was placed in the mee suah too. I am slowly enjoying the eggs that are in it too. However, i still prefer to self-feed myself when it comes to non-porridge food. Interesting me right.

My helper tried to feed me with some more porridge but i guess i was too full. After 5-6 mouthful, i was too full to eat anything else. Hehehe...

Recipe for mee-suah

Add some olive oil to the metal pot of thermal cooker and add an egg to it and fry.
Stir repeatedly to break the egg into small pieces.

Top up half the pot with the corn soup(any stock) that was boiled in the afternoon (meant for everyone to drink)

Add "1 piece" of mee sua. (Washed with water)

Let it boil for 10 min.

Return the pot to the thermal cooker and let it simmer until it is ready to eat.

Remember to cut the mee suah into shorter strands before feeding.

An eventful Sunday with all my grandparents!!

Yesterday, Po Po and Gong Gong came to my house to visit me!! They bought me some duck kway teow and i happily searched for the bits n pieces of duck meat!! instead of eating the kway teow. They were quite happy that i actually finished quite a fair bit of the food that they bought.

After lunch, daddy brought all of us to a chinese temple (home based type) at Eunos. I have beem going to this temple since i was very young. Think my first visit was during the Mid Autumn Festival. Po Po and Gong Gong tagged along too cos they wanted to see how the temple looked like. We met Ye Ye, Nai Nai and Molly Po Po at the temple. Phew..for the first time after a long long time...i was with ALL my grandparents at the same place, same time!! I was also in a pretty good mood and allowed the nun (Shi Fu) to carry me!! As it was near my milk time, i cried hard when i saw that mummy and the rest were actually having a vegetarian "feast". Mummy decided to feed me some vegetarian bee hoon. It was so yummy that i asked for MORE!!! When nai nai brought more of the beehoon, i decided that i was full after a few more mouthful. Naughty me right?

After the visit to the temple, daddy drove po po and gong gong home. I was so happy upon reaching Po Po's house that i totally forgot abt my nap time. Gong Gong fed me with some vanilla ince cream and i kept running back to him for more...As a result, i slept at 4.30pm (my usual nap time is 2pm) for only 1.5 hour when Po Po managed to dig out one of my old pacifiers. When i woke up, i felt so grouchy cos i still wanted to sleep...So...i threw a temper during dinner time..taking my own sweet time to finish my porridge. After daddy, mummy and my helper finished their dinner, we rested for a while before heading home again...

I refused to sleep although i have been lying on the bed for an hour.....Arr.....School again!!

On Thursday, Mummy brought me to vivocity for an ice-cream treat!! I have just recovered from my runny nose n cough after a 3 weeks stint!! Look at how much i enjoy my ice cream feast...its double chocolate...Thank god i did not cough after the feast...if not, Po Po will definitely scold. Daddy also bought more bird nest for mummy to eat for her last trimester. After the feast, we went to get a netbook for mummy, after much comparison, daddy bought a lenovo S10 with upgraded ram (2gb) and 6 cells battery for mummy. Mummy originally wanted to get the acer aspire one from the school. But daddy's friend said it was not good...Hehehe...daddy spent a bomb today!!

On Friday, being labour day, i need not go to the childcare. Mummy decided to trim my fringes after Po Po said that my fringes were getting too long. This is the result of the trim as i was watching my favourite disney clubhouse..It does look short right?? During dinner time, we went to Po Po's house for dinner and i had so much fun playing ball game with my Gong Gong. I also know how to address my Xiao Yi as " Ah Yi!"

Today, daddy and mummy brought me to Henderson market for breakfast. We had originally wanted to go to Tiong Bahru market but it was too crowded!! Mummy ordered a bowl of dry fishball kway teow to share with me! i love the kway teow so much that i ate at least a quarter of a small bowl(i just had 120ml of milk milk before this...) However, i didn't like the fishball. Think mummy just has to try harder!!!

For lunch, mummy tried to feed me with some ABC macroroni mixed with potato carrot soup. The pasta seemed a little too hard for me?? I spit out some of the pasta...at least 50%?? Think mummy needs to cook the pasta for a longer time before she attempts to feed me...hehehe=P

Building Blocks

I love block building. Yesterday, i spent almost 30 min building blocks from one corner of the house to another. My max height was 7 blocks stacked together. It was so amazing to get them stacked up, then blow at them to make them fall. I rarely spend so much time playing a particular game at one shot!! My helper told mummy that i have been playing with blocks in the music room every morning! Hence, i loved it! Daddy still thinks that i can stack up to a max of 4 blocks only when the teacher asked him last week!!

Yippie, I can self feed myself. Last friday, teacher Eileen told Po Po that i finished half a bowl of porridge myself. Po Po says teacher Eileen must be joking. Hence, Mummy decided to try it out on Saturday. True enough, i was feeding myself as my helper was feeding me! i self feed around 5 big scoops of porridge on my own. (Hee...in many many small spoonfuls!!) Mummy was so happy. She repeated the same thing for Nai Nai to see in the evening! Everyone sang praises of me...

Also, i have created my own version of "Hotdog Dance". Do you know what's that? That is the dance that they will feature at the end of Mickey Clubhouse!!

Yesterday, i went for Baby Brandon's baby shower. He is my younger cousin. I sat beside him and said "Shhh...." with my fingers on my lips. Everyone laughed when they saw it.

Anyway, i am still down with a phelmy cough and runny nose. I developed a slight fever last night and mummy had to feed me to panadol to bring my temperature down. Phew, my temperature went down this morning and off i am to the childcare. Hopefully, today will be a better day for me.

This morning, i fell asleep as daddy took me out from the car when i reached the centre. When he tried to put me down, i started to wail again. End up, i slept in my helper's arms until lesson started. But..I was still very tired. Seeing that, teacher eileen patted me to sleep again. The rest of the class started their routine and played games while i slept in class...

At lunch time, i actually ate 1 bowl of bee hoon soup!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never eaten bee hoon soup b4. I must be too hungry since my last feed was a 120ml milk feed at 7am. After i finished my lunch, i happened to see my helper who was hanging around. I cried for her and refused to let teacher eileen carry me. Teacher eileen was very upset and she called mummy. Mummy had to "scold" my helper who did the act out of heart ache.

Mummy came to the centre to pick up my helper at around 1pm when i was asleep.....To be cont...(Mummy is sitting at Munchin Monkeys, YIH, NUS.....updating my blog...)

Day 2 at Childcare

I had lotsa fun at the childcare today!! When i reached the school, i went straight to my favourite play area! I did not even bother to bid daddy goodbye!! When it was time for lessons, my helper brought me to the room and left me there. However, at around 8plus, i got very fussy cos i was tired. Teacher Eileen gave me my pacifier and patted me. I ended sleeping while the rest of the class was wailing away.

I did cry once in a while when my helper decided to peep at me. Teacher Eileen was quite upset and she wrote in my communication book for mummy to see.

I enjoyed my bathing session and even "talked" to the auntie who helped to dress me. =P. I had become more sociable as well.

For lunch, i managed to finish 1 bowl of porridge! Teacher Eileen had originally wanted to give me half a bowl cos mummy mentioned that i am a small eater. But i ended up finishing 1 bowl..hehehe..that proves i can eat.

After lunch, i took a nap again...I am simply too tired after all the games and play.=P

For tea break, my helper fed me with 2 mouthful of mee tai mak....I ate mee tai mak for the 1st time in my life. When i saw a Yacult bottle, i went to snatch it from a boy! Hmm..it tasted sour. Mummy came and i gave her a hug..Then i said "Bye Bye!!" before i went to play again.

Teacher Eileen was very happy with my performace...minus the presence of my helper....

On my way back, i actually managed to finish 2 sticks of biscuits!! I had been spitting out biscuits for the past 1 month...

Day 1 Childcare

I just attended childcare for the first time today. Mummy Chai took chilcare leave to accompany me to the childcareWe reached the centre at 7am cos daddy chai had to go to work by 7.30am (no choice..school teacher mah). There were only 2-3 kids at the centre and all of them were accompanied by parents. Seeing that, mummy chai talked to the teacher on duty and teacher assured mummy that she will be looking after me during that period of time. This is because after mummy gives birth, i will be at the centre alone without my maid.

At 8 plus, it was breakfast time.Mummy tried to give me some bun from the school but i rejected it. Later on, I went to the assembly area to play with the rest of the kids until my form teacher brought me to my class. One Jie Jie, Sarah whom i met in the morning was especially nice to me.

One new gal was crying badly in the class becos her mummy simply left her there. I was pretty alright in the class unless i see other kids cry. If not, i will usually be playing on my own, ignoring the presence of mummy. For once, I did not watch TV programme for the morning cos I was too engrossed in play.

Bath time was supposed to be smooth sailing..but I saw another gal cry, i decided to stick to mummy again. In the end, it was teacher Eileen and my maid who brought me to the bathroom.

Lunch time was bad. Think I took only 1/4 bowl of the rice only. And i needed my maid to feed me.

When it was nap time, I refused to sleep. The teachers played lullaby and switch off the lights. While the rest were lying on the bed, I walked in between them..Faintz!! Since it was meant to be half day session for day 1, daddy came and fetched us to IMM for lunch.[Mummy needed to buy durian to beef up mei mei's weight cos gynae complained that mei mei was underweight.] In the car, I dozed off after a 10 min right for 2 hours..But, you cant blame me cos i have been playing from 6.30am to 1pm.

Hope tomolo will be a better day. But it will be my maid who will accompany me.

In the past, when i see the toothbrush, i will take my seat and let daddy brush my teeth. Nowadays, i will just "eat" up the toothpaste (no worries, its first teeth toothpaste) and i will run away. Hence, daddy resorted to giving me the toothbrush to play on my own.

Re: Swimming

Daddy and Mummy brought me to swim again on Sun!! I was so happy when i spotted the swimming pool from the lift area. This time round, mummy decided to change me in the toilet so that i will not be yelling to go into the swim area. There were many kids at the pool and i managed to use my mushroom float for the first time. However, i guess that i prefer to wander around the pool on my own. And silly me, i actually slurpped water from the pool thinking that they were drinking water. Mummy managed to bathe me properly in the toilet and we went for lunch at Anchorpoint. My lunch was a few mouthful of fish & Chips, half a strand of fries and half a scoop of chocolate ice cream from Jacks place. After lunch, daddy drove us home and i dozed off in the car ride which was less than 10 min long.

Daddy decided to bring me to grandma's house earlier today so that i can play with bubbles. So coincidentally, my cousins were there early too. So, both myself and my cousin, Beatrice had our dinner and we adjourned to play with bubbles outside the house. Look at our happy looks!!

Phew...It has been a long time since mummy updated my blog..2008 is over liaoz..

Let me recap the happenings for the 2nd half of 2008...

My 1st Bday.

Daddy and Mummy hosted a birthday party at home for me..I had a nice minnie 3D birthday cake.

A visit to the gynae

Guess what..Mummy is pregnant with my sibling!! And she arranged for her first visit to the gynae on my bdae!! I am seeing the doctor who delivered me exactly 1 year ago!!

1st Swim at Safra

I enjoyed myself so much at the Safra pool. Daddy decided to bring me there after he signed up for his safra card..We went there at around 11am and i was the only one in the pool.. When i saw the pool, i just kept crying so that mummy will bring me into the pool. I gulped one big mouthful of water when daddy was not paying attention...but i did not care more..i just continued with my swim..Finally, the float that mummy bought from BP came in handy. When mummy brought me out of the pool to change....i sensed that something was not right...That's the end of my playtime..Arh...I cried and cried...dragging my helper to the pool...sob sob..

1st visit to the zoo.

It was Daddy's family day! Daddy brought me, mummy and our helper to the zoo. Hehehe..n its free! We went early in the morning at ard 8.30am. Met my classmate Zi Han at the zoo too. I dozed off after seeing 2 animal shows...What a lousy timing.

1st visit to the birdpark

Its still a free trip since Gong Gong managed to get free pass for us....This time round, mummy decided that i can only go after my lunch. It was a bright sunny day and i managed to stay awake until 3pm. I was amazed by the penguins and birds in the park. Mummy brought me to the kidzone too but they were meant for older kids. Mummy cooked some beehoon and we had a nice picnic in the park...but..it was milk for me only..sob sob..

Malacca Trip 9th -11th June

I am so excited. My first trip out of Singapore. Daddy booked a Villa at A Famosa for the entire Chai Family to go. We went in 2 cars. Mummy planned my nap time very well. She woke me up early in the morning to bathe and drink my milk so that i will sleep for the bulk of the journey. The car ride to our destination took about 5 hours. We checked into the villa and began our swimming session.

All my meals for the trip was prepared by Auntie Supin. I couldn't get use to the taste as it was too dry. Mummy decided that it was time for me to start with formula milk and i had FM for 60 % of my milk feeds in Malacca.

In all, i swam for all 3 days.

On my returned trip, i was pretty cranky and mummy had a hard time coaxing me when Ye Ye was driving. For dinner, we ate at a market at Taman Sentosa and mummy had to piggy back me since it was a market.

Think it was an eye-opener for me...

Uncle Pin How's Wedding on 7th June

Mummy, where are we going today? I thought we just attended Uncle Pin How's wedding at Swissotel the day before? Daddy was one of the brothers and he was not with me during the banquent for most of the time. I met another jie jie who happened to be the daughter of daddy's fren. She kept entertaining me. I was a good gal right? minus the fact that i did not want to stay on the high chair. Mummy and Daddy decided to re-visit Uncle Pin How at the hotel since they happened to go there for lunch. It was a nice place and i had a good time roaming in the room which was on the 69th floor. Sad to say, mummy left the camera at Uncle Pin How's room and we had to return to the hotel to collect it after our dinner at Nai Nai's House.

Gap Jacket!

Mummy bought me this Gab Jacket from Wisma Atria and it was carefully picked my Daddy. It cost less than $30 after 40% + 5% discount. When they reached home, they made me wear the jacket and took lotsa of pictures with it. This is what happens.

Visit to EXPO

Mummy and Dady brought me to EXPO for Popular book sales. Mummy bought a lot of hard cover books for me as i tend to spoil the soft cover ones easily. While Daddy and Mummy were enjoying their lunch, i was given my favourite carrot stick to eat. I ate TWO pieces ok!! Dun underestimate my size.

Look at how unglam i am when i am eating my favourite snack! Mind u, i just finished my porridge ok..Dun play play with my appetite...

Sept Mummies' Gathering

Mummy invited some of the sept mummies to our house since it was June hols! Auntie Gingerleaf & Baby Lyn, Auntie Bena & Baby Zac, Auntie ecookie & baby YZ and Auntie shotbyfau and baby dahlia attended the gathering. All of them were obedient babies except me! They drank their milk at one shot and all of them slept at one pt or another except me! All the mummies placed their babies in the playyard to play with me. WE had such a fun time in the playyard while mummies had their break chit-chatting with one another with pizzas.

Kindermusik Trial @ Tanglin Mall

Auntie Justme was unable to attend the trial with baby Sarah. So mummy got the chance to replace her. I was super active as usual. I refused to sit still and kept crawling towards the teacher. I also loved the balls and snatched them away from my friends. I kept screaming in class and was the only one who was busy crawling around the class.

Mummy decided to dress me up like a Shrek! Dun i look adorable with the Shrek headband that mummy bought long long ago from Mac! I do look like a pumpkin too cos i am wearing a pumpkin sleepsuit.

My 2nd visit to ICA Building

Daddy and mummy brought me to ICA building! WE took a train there as it was more convenient. Mummy becoed me and i fell asleep in the carrier while waiting for the collection. When i woke up, i started jumping up and down at the place..Daddy had to re-take his passport photo and collect his IC. We submitted the photographs and were told to wait for an hour!! Hence, daddy brought me to a nearby coffeeshop to eat dinner first. Sob sob..it rained!! I refused my milk too..

Gymboree @ Vivocity on 24th May 2008

Mummy brought me to Vivocity early in the morning while i still needed my nap. At 11 am, mummy tried to i was supposed to attend the Gymboree Trial class @ 12noon. She tried hard to coax me to sleep but to no avail. She had to feed me as we went to Vitakids and Cold Storage to get my organic snacks. However, when we reach Gymboree, i decided to nap in mummy's cosy BECO carrier. Mummy had to wake me up after a power nap of 10 min. When i woke up, i saw my fren, Jerald. I had so much fun! I managed to climb up the stairs! While mummy tried to massage for me, I kept running away from her. I loved the balls that were given to us and i even snatched one away from Faith. Hahaha. Daddy came half way through the session and played with me so that mummy can take a break.

Went for gynae visit yesterday....Baby is now "deeply engaged" but the water level is borderline low already....so think baby en en will arrive before edd....

Getting more contractions now...but dunno if they r fake ones...hehehe...

The expected date of delivery (EDD) is 18 Sep 07.... so it's 9 more days to go... We have been told that first born girls tend to come out earlier than the EDD by about 2 to 3 weeks... so we are currently anxisouly waiting for En En to arrive!
